Looking for a Hen weekend with a difference? Come to New Farm Holidays for a rural retreat that you’ll always remember! We offer bespoke packages so you can select the activities that suit from wine tasting to learning bushcraft skills. We’ll provide a number of meals so you can relax, enjoy the countryside together and toast the bride to be around the campfire. A perfect way to celebrate a fantastic occasion!
You’re welcome to arrive from 2pm so you can take your time unpacking, familiarise yourself with Ostler’s Wood and relax.
At around 4pm we’ll serve you fresh scones and Prosecco.
We’ll deliver your home-cooked dinner ready for you to enjoy around the campfire such as a pesto chicken stew with cheesy dumplings, a beef curry, or a courgette and bean chilli. (Please let us know if anyone in your party has any allergies or other dietary requirements. Unfortunately we’re not able to guarantee nut-free meals.)
After dinner you can enjoy your own private wine or gin tasting event with a local expert. Pete will be your guide for the wine tasting, talking you through 10 locally sourced wines in a relaxed and informal setting. You’ll be able to try a sparkling wine, three whites, four reds, and a rosé with a dessert wine to finish the evening.
We’ll ease you into the day by bringing you hot bacon or sausage rolls accompanied by plenty of tea and coffee.
As a group you can select from the following activities when booking:
- Clay pigeon shooting
- Bushcraft (e.g. building a fire, foraging)
Local experts will come on site to teach your group all you need to know and ensure even beginners have lots of fun.
We’ll serve you a buffet lunch after which you can take your pick of local activities. You can stay on site and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Ostler’s Wood, head to one of the nearby seaside towns, explore the historic market town of Horncastle or visit the city of Lincoln. If you’d like some more ideas or need any help planning your afternoon and evening (including organising taxis) just get in touch and we’d be happy to assist.
We’ll serve you a Continental breakfast (with plenty of tea and coffee, fresh juice, cheese, meats, bread and pastries) before your 10.30am departure.
If you would prefer you can opt for our glamping 5 metre Bell tent and up to four unfurnished smaller Bell Tents which together will sleep a minimum of eight people and a maximum of 20.
